Do you and/or your staff have or need to update the following Chemical Accreditation Units of Competency?

  • AHCCHM304 – Transport, and Store Chemicals
  • AHCCHM307 – Prepare and Apply Chemicals to Control Pest, Weeds and Diseases

Pesticides can be dangerous if used or managed incorrectly. Training in the correct use of pesticides helps prevents mistakes at work – keeping you, your family, the community, trade, and the environment safe.

Training in pesticides use is required under the Pesticides Regulation 2017. If you use Veterinary Medicines or Agricultural Chemicals as part of your work (this includes employees) you must complete an Accredited Chemical Training course and maintain your competence every 5 years. It is important to maintain competence due to significant ongoing developments in the number of pesticides available, application technology and community expectations regarding pesticides management.
