This course allows you to complete the training at your own pace when it is convenient for you.
The course training and assessment content is provided by Agriculture Victoria and presented by SpraySMART Pty Ltd
All persons handling or using 1080 or PAPP bait products must successfully complete the accredited ‘1080 and PAPP training course’. This means the 22661VIC course in ‘Minimising risks in the use of 1080 and PAPP bait products for vertebrate pest control’ (or previous equivalents 22516VIC, 22275VIC or 21835VIC).
The 1080 and PAPP training course teaches participants the safe, legal and effective handling and use of 1080 and PAPP bait products. It also provides information on how to abide by the document titled ‘Directions for the use of 1080 and PAPP pest animal bait products in Victoria’ .
Purpose
This training is designed to accommodate those people who cannot attend a Face to Face training day. This may be because they live and/or work in remote areas or they cannot find a course that is available near them.
Career Pathways
This training may be a statutory requirement in your State of Territory. In Victoria it is required to enable you to gain an ACUP endorsement for your license to be able to apply 1080 and PAPP baits.
Duration
This ONLINE version is self paced but as a guideline you should be able to complete the training in 4-8 hours.
Qualification Requirements
Statement of Attainment – 22516VIC Course in Minimising Risks in the Use of 1080 & PAPP Bait Products for Vertebrate Pest Control.
Assessment Requirements
The learner will be mainly required to answer self marking multiple choice questions plus some questions that will require short answers that require basic typing skills. There are also some requirements to complete simple mathematical calculations. Your trainer will provide feedback on all answers that require a written answer.
Delivery Mode
Electronically via a computer (desk top PC), laptop or tablet. You must have reliable internet services to complete this course.
Materials or Equipment Required
This training will require access to a computer with internet access. You will need a pen/paper to make notes and a calculator. All other materials (training manual, assessment, enrolment forms) will be provided electronically upon enrolment once payment is made.
